BOSTON, MA—The Boston Red Sox today recalled infielder/outfielder Romy Gonzalez from Triple-A Worcester.

Gonzalez, 27, was claimed off waivers from the Chicago White Sox on January 31, 2024. In seven games with Worcester this season, the right-handed hitter has gone 9-for-28 (.321) with three home runs, 10 RBI, and a 1.196 OPS while making three starts at shortstop, two at second base, and two at first base. He has played in 86 Major League games with the White Sox (2021-23), batting .222 (51-for-230) with 11 doubles, three triples, five home runs, and seven stolen bases.
