The Pittsburgh Pirates announced today that infielder Erik Gonzalez has been returned from his rehab assignment with Indianapolis due to a left hamstring strain (retro to July 12). Gonzalez was originally placed on the injured list on April 20 due to a left clavicle fracture.

In addition, right-handed pitcher Keone Kela (right shoulder inflammation) is expected to begin a rehab assignment tonight with Triple-A Indianapolis.
