KANSAS CITY, MO (July 30, 2019) – Royals Charities will host the annual 5K & 10K Run/Walk presented by Price Chopper at Kauffman Stadium on Saturday, August 10. The event, which begins at 8 a.m. and features a course that takes runners around the Kauffman Stadium warning track, benefits Royals Charities. This is the first year runners can sign up for the 10K. Both races are chip timed.

Fans can register for the Royals Charities 5K & 10K Run/Walk online at www.royals.com/run. Individual tickets are priced at $35 for the 5K and $45 for the 10K, respectively. Family four-packs are available for $120 for the 5K and $130 for the 10K. Packet pickup is set for noon to 7 p.m. on Friday, August 9 at Price Chopper, located at 1030 W. 103rd St., Kansas City, Mo. 64114, or near the Gate C Ticket Office at Kauffman Stadium from 6 a.m. to 7 a.m. the morning of the race. Those who want to run or walk are encouraged to register early but may also do so at packet pickup if entry spots remain.

All participants will receive one View Level Infield voucher, valued at $18, which may be redeemed for a ticket to a Royals home game for the duration of the season excluding August 13 and 14, as well as the opportunity to purchase additional discounted tickets. In addition, all participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt and complimentary food and drinks following the race.

A grand prize will be awarded to the overall top male and female finishers, and medals will be awarded to the top male and female finishers in each age bracket at the main stage following the race. The awards ceremony will be hosted by 610 Sports Radio’s Bob Fescoe from Fescoe in the Morning. Visit www.royals.com/run for a list of age brackets.
