Earlier today, Major League Baseball announced that Gregory Johnson -- whose family has been part of the Giants ownership group since 1993 – was approved as the MLB designated Giants control person.  Managing Members Johnson and Rob Dean will serve as Giants Chairman and Vice Chairman, respectively. The executive reporting structure will have President and CEO Larry Baer and President of Baseball Operations Farhan Zaidi reporting to the managing members. Johnson, Dean and Baer will represent the club at MLB Ownership Meetings.
