Twins acquire Ryan LaMarre from Atlanta in exchange for cash

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have acquired outfielder Ryan LaMarre in a trade with the Atlanta Braves in exchange for cash.

LaMarre, 30, spent the season with Triple-A Gwinnett (Atlanta), hitting .311 (126-for-405) with 24 doubles, eight triples, nine home runs, 53 RBI, 55 runs scored, 38 walks, 19 stolen bases and an .857 OPS in 112 games. The four-year major league veteran played in 43 games for the Twins in 2018, hitting .263 (26-for-99) with five doubles, eight RBI, eight walks and seven runs scored before being designated for release or assignment in early July. He finished 2018 in the Chicago White Sox organization, hitting .303 (20-for-66) with the big league club.

LaMarre will be available for today’s game with Cleveland and will wear uniform number 27.
