Twins reinstate Sam Dyson from injured list

Cody Stashak Optioned to Triple-A Rochester

Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have reinstated right-handed pitcher Sam Dyson from the 10-day Injured List and have optioned right-handed pitcher Cody Stashak to Triple-A Rochester.

Dyson, who was acquired via trade with San Francisco at the MLB trade deadline, has appeared in two games for the Twins this season, allowing six runs on six hits in 0.2 innings pitched. He has missed the last nine games with right biceps tendinitis. In 51 games between the Giants and Twins this season, he has gone 4-1 with a 3.48 ERA (51.2 IP, 20 ER), nine walks, 48 strikeouts, two saves and 17 holds.

To make room on the 25-man roster, the Twins have optioned right-handed pitcher Cody Stashak to Triple-A Rochester. Stashak appeared in six games for the Twins, going 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA (8.1 IP, 5 ER), no walks and nine strikeouts.
