PHOENIX, AZ – The Minnesota Twins announced today that they have returned outfielder Kyle Garlick from his rehab assignment and reinstated him from the 10-day Injured List.

Garlick, who missed the Twins’ last 13 games with a left hamstring strain, played in three games on rehab assignment with Triple-A St. Paul, going 3-for-11 with one home run, one RBI and one walk. Prior to being placed on the Injured List, he hit .250 (15-for-60) with one double, six home runs, 14 RBI, a .324 on-base percentage, a .567 slugging percentage and an .890 OPS in 28 games for the Twins.

To make room for Garlick on the 26-man roster, the Twins have placed right-handed pitcher Trevor Megill on the 15-day Injured List (retroactive to June 16) with right shoulder impingement. Megill made eight relief appearances for the Twins, going 2-1 with a 2.08 ERA (13.0 IP, 3 ER), five walks, 15 strikeouts and a .196 opponent batting average.
