CLEVELAND, OH – The Cleveland Guardians today announced the following addition to their 2024 Major League Spring Training camp roster:

Signed free agent RHP Tyler Beede to Minor League contract with a non-roster invitation to Major League camp.

Beede, 30, spent 2023 with Japan’s Yomiuri Giants, posting a 3.99 ERA in 30 outings which included an Opening Day start. The Auburn, MA native was selected twice in the first round of the MLB Draft in 2011 (21^st overall, TOR) and again in 2014 (14^th overall, SFG) after a standout collegiate career at Vanderbilt. He debuted with the Giants in 2018 and went on to make 33 appearances/24 starts for the Giants thru 2022 before finishing that season with the Pirates.
