Umpires for the Division Series announced

Carlson, Márquez, Miller and Tichenor to Lead Division Series Crews

Major League Baseball today announced the Major League Umpires who have been assigned to the 2023 Division Series presented by Booking.com, which are scheduled to begin with four games on Saturday. 

The four Division Series crew chiefs will be Mark Carlson, Alfonso Márquez, Bill Miller and Todd Tichenor.  The crew of Márquez will be on the field for the Division Series involving the AL’s highest seed, the AL East Champion Baltimore Orioles, who will host the Texas Rangers.  Bill Miller will guide the umpires for the Division Series beginning at the ballpark of the AL’s second seed, the AL West Champion Houston Astros, who will host the AL Central Champion Minnesota Twins. 

In the National League Division Series, Mark Carlson’s crew will officiate the series involving the top-seeded NL East Division Champion Atlanta Braves, who will host the division rival Philadelphia Phillies.  Todd Tichenor’s group will work the series involving the NL’s second seed, the NL West Champion Los Angeles Dodgers, who will host their division rival Arizona Diamondbacks.

ESPN Radio will also provide live national coverage of all 2023 MLB Postseason games.  All games telecast on TBS, FOX and FS1 will be available to MLB.TV subscribers who are authenticated subscribers to the applicable network through a participating pay TV provider.  MLB Network will provide extensive studio coverage throughout the entire Postseason in addition to exclusively airing the entire National League Division Series in Spanish-language.  FOX Deportes will provide exclusive Spanish-language coverage of all ALDS games.  Univision Radio will carry Spanish-language coverage of all Postseason games.
