Major League Baseball today announced the Major League Umpires who have been assigned to the 2026 Wild Card Series presented by AbbVie. The four Wild Card Series crew chiefs will be Jordan Baker, Bill Miller, Alan Porter and Mark Wegner.
Baker will lead the umpires involving the National League East Champion Atlanta Braves, the NL’s third seed, hosting the sixth-seeded and division rival Philadelphia Phillies. Miller’s group will work the matchup featuring the fourth-seeded San Diego Padres hosting the fifth-seeded Chicago Cubs in a rematch of the 2025 Wild Card Series.
In the American League, Porter’s crew will be on the Wild Card Series with the third-seeded AL West Division Champion Houston Astros welcoming the sixth-seeded Chicago White Sox. Wegner’s crew will work the Wild Card Series that features the fourth-seeded New York Yankees hosting the fifth-seeded and division rival Boston Red Sox in another rematch of the 2025 Wild Card Series.

The Wild Card Series presented by AbbVie will be broadcast by NBC, Peacock and NBC Sports Network while ESPN Radio provides live national coverage. MLB Network will air extensive studio coverage throughout the Postseason across the Emmy Award-winning MLB Tonight, the Emmy-nominated MLB Central and MLB Now, and Intentional Talk, MLB Network’s longest-running talk show.
Postseason games throughout 2026 will also be telecast in Spanish on Universo and Univision, while Univision Radio will provide Spanish language audio coverage. The 2026 Postseason will be distributed by MLB media rightsholders in 16 different languages to fans in more than 200 countries and territories.
