Major League Baseball today announced the Major League Umpires who have been assigned to the 2025 World Series presented by Capital One. Mark Wegner, who has more than 25 years of experience as a Major League Umpire, will work his third career World Series, including his first as the crew chief of the Fall Classic. The Minnesota native was a part of the crews that officiated the 2013 and 2017 World Series.
Wegner’s World Series crew features Jordan Baker, Adam Hamari, Adrian Johnson, Will Little, Alan Porter and John Tumpane. It is the third World Series assignment for Porter (previous: 2019 and 2022); the second career Fall Classic for Baker (previous: 2022); and the first for Hamari, Johnson, Little and Tumpane. Porter will serve as the crew chief in Game Two while Wegner is off the field.
Placing seven umpires on the World Series crew allows for distinct home plate assignments in a potential seven-game series, with one umpire off the field in each game. Major League Umpires Jeremie Rehak and regular season crew chief Dan Iassogna have been assigned to Replay throughout the Fall Classic. Eight of the nine Major League Umpires assigned to the World Series worked the Division Series round of the 2025 Postseason, with Iassogna serving as a crew chief for the Wild Card Series. A complete listing of the World Series umpire rotation accompanies this press release.
FOX will combine with FOX Deportes, the FOX Sports App and FOX One to cover the World Series. All World Series games telecast on FOX will be available to MLB.TV subscribers who are authenticated subscribers to the applicable network through a participating pay TV provider.
