Washington Nationals announce details for 2022 season

Single Game Tickets on Sale Next Week; New Procedures Streamline Entry into Nationals Park

March 11th, 2022

The Washington Nationals today announced several details for fans in advance of the 2022 season, which begins Thursday, April 7, against the New York Mets at Nationals Park. Opening Day first pitch is set for 4:05 p.m.

Single game tickets for all 2022 regular season games, excluding Opening Day, will go on sale to the general public next week with exclusive presale offers for season plan holders and Nationals Fan Club members. To join the Washington Nationals Fan Club for FREE, visit nationals.com/FanClub.

The Nationals also announced new entry policies and procedures that will streamline entry into the ballpark. Fans coming to Nationals Park beginning with the April 7 home opener will enjoy expedited entry with the implementation of CEIA OpenGate technology at all guest entrances. Fans entering the ballpark no longer need to remove keys and wallets from their pockets or have their bags searched, but instead will walk through the screening system in a single file line before presenting their tickets.

As part of the new procedures, all bags larger than a clutch must be clear plastic, vinyl or PVC and may not be larger than 16 x 16 x 8 inches. Fans with medical or diaper bags may use the ADA/Family lanes at the Center Field and Home Plate Gates to have their items inspected. Fans may bring a small clutch (5 x 7 x ¾ inches or smaller) in addition to or instead of a clear bag.
