CHICAGO – The Chicago White Sox today announced 5K and 1-Mile registrations for Run Your Sox Off, presented by Guaranteed Rate, one of the largest retail lenders in the nation, and held on Saturday, September 18, are now open at whitesox.com/run.
An exclusive opportunity for White Sox fans to root on their team, get active with their family and friends and support the greater Chicagoland community, Run Your Sox Off will begin at 11 a.m. in Guaranteed Rate Field’s Lot B (Northeast corner of 35th and Shields) and take runners and walkers alike on courses throughout the ballpark’s parking lots and outfield warning track.
Early bird registrations for both the in-person 5K and 1-Mile distances begin at $45 and include an exclusive Run Your Sox Off T-Shirt and finisher’s medal, a virtual finisher’s certificate, a professional post-race photo taken behind home plate and a post-race Michelob ULTRA beer (for participants ages 21+). Participants also can upgrade to 5K or 1-Mile ULTRA Packages for just $100. In addition to receiving White Sox race items at registration, ULTRA Package purchasers receive a limited-edition White Sox Winged Sock Hat, as well as two lower level tickets to a select 2021 White Sox home game.
Additionally, Run Your Sox Off will offer a Post-Race Party, presented by Michelob ULTRA (for participants ages 21 and older), and a virtual option for $45 for fans looking to join in on the action on a course of their choosing. Virtual registrations include a Run Your Sox Off T-Shirt, finisher’s medal and virtual finisher’s certificate.
Run Your Sox Off will make the miles count with a portion of the event’s net proceeds benefiting Chicago White Sox Charities (CWSC) and Guaranteed Rate Foundation, which both provide financial, in-kind and emotional support to those facing extraordinary hardships.
The Guaranteed Rate Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity that provides funds directly to individuals and families in dire need throughout the country.

Since its inception in 1990, CWSC has donated more than $38 million to non-profit organizations across the city and surrounding areas.

Run Your Sox Off will be produced in partnership with EnMotive, one of the largest timing and race production companies in the United States that caters to all types of endurance events.
In a continued effort to create the best and safest ballpark experience possible, all individuals eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine must be fully vaccinated to enter the ballpark’s field level. Participants must present their vaccination card with identification on-site in order to participate in the Run Your Sox Off event.
