White Sox announce 2023 spring training schedule

CHICAGO – The Chicago White Sox and Major League Baseball today announced the club’s 2023 spring training schedule, with the White Sox Cactus League opener taking place on Saturday, February 25 vs. the San Diego Padres at Camelback Ranch – Glendale, the club’s spring training home since 2009.

The 2023 spring schedule is comprised of 15 home games at CR-G, including against the Chicago Cubs on Friday, March 17. The Sox and Cubs face off three times at Sloan Park in Mesa: Friday, March 10, Monday, March 27 and Tuesday March 28 (spring finale).

The White Sox play host to a World Baseball Classic team on Thursday, March 9 at CR-G with the participating WBC team announced on a later date.

Chicago is scheduled for one split-squad date on Wednesday, March 22 vs. Kansas City and against Texas in Surprise.

Additional weekend spring training home games include Friday, March 3 vs. the Reds, Saturday, March 4 vs. the Rangers, Sunday, March 12 vs. the Angels, Saturday, March 18 vs. the Dodgers and Sunday, March 26 vs. the Rockies.

The White Sox open the 2023 regular season on Thursday, March 30 at the Houston Astros.
