September 1st, 2019

ATLANTA -- Prior to tonight’s series finale at Atlanta, the Chicago White Sox announced the following two roster moves:

  • Returned left-hander Manny Bañuelos from his injury rehabilitation assignment at Class AAA Charlotte and reinstated him from the 60-day injured list.
  • Returned right-hander Carson Fulmer from his injury rehabilitation assignment at Charlotte and reinstated him from the 10-day injured list.

Bañuelos, 28, has been on the injured list since June 16 with left shoulder inflammation. He made five rehab appearances between the Arizona Rookie League White Sox, Class A Winston-Salem and Charlotte after being transferred to the 60-day injured list on August 6. Bañuelos is 3-4 with a 6.40 ERA (35 ER/45.2 IP) and 42 strikeouts over 13 games (eight starts) this season, his first with the White Sox.

Fulmer, 25, has been on the injured list since August 3 with a strained right hamstring suffered on August 2 at Philadelphia while running the bases in the 14th inning. He made two appearances during his rehab assignment with the Knights. Fulmer is 1-1 with a 5.30 ERA (11 ER/18.2 IP) and 20 strikeouts in 14 games (one start) over five stints with the White Sox this season.

Following the moves, the White Sox 40-man roster increases to 40. The club’s active roster moves to 27: 15 pitchers, two catchers, six infielders and four outfielders.
