CHICAGO – Prior to today’s series finale vs. the Angels, the Chicago White Sox optioned infielder Danny Mendick and left-handed pitcher Anderson Severino to Class AAA Charlotte.

Mendick, 28, is hitting .250 (5-20) with two doubles, one home run, three RBI and four runs scored in 10 games this season.

Severino, 27, is 0-0 with a 6.14 ERA (5 ER/7.1 IP) and nine strikeouts over six relief appearances in 2022.

With the moves, the White Sox have reached the 26-player roster limit.
