DETROIT – Following tonight’s game at Detroit, the Chicago White Sox optioned catcher Seby Zavala to Class AAA Charlotte.

Zavala, 25, has appeared in five games over two stints with the White Sox this season, going 1-12 (.083) with one run scored. He is batting .218 (50-229) with 16 home runs, 36 RBI and 40 runs scored over 61 games with Charlotte in 2019.

The Sox will make a corresponding roster move prior to tomorrow’s split doubleheader against the Tigers.
