CLEVELAND – Prior to tonight’s game at Cleveland, the Chicago White Sox recalled right-handed pitcher José Ruiz from Class AAA Charlotte.

Ruiz, 24, has gone 1-2 with a 5.24 ERA (20 ER/34.1 IP), 32 strikeouts and one hold in 35 relief appearances over five stints with the White Sox this season. He also appeared in 11 games with Charlotte, posting a 1.26 ERA (2 ER/14.1 IP) with seven saves and 15 strikeouts.

           The Sox active roster is at 32 players: 17 pitchers, three catchers, seven infielders and five outfielders.
