White Sox reinstate AJ Pollock from injured list; place Matt Foster on family medical leave

MINNEAPOLIS – Prior to tonight’s series opener at Minnesota, the Chicago White Sox reinstated outfielder AJ Pollock from the 10-day injured list and placed right-handed pitcher Matt Foster on the Family Medical Leave List.

Pollock, who was acquired from the Dodgers on April 1 in exchange for right-hander Craig Kimbrel, was placed on the injured list on April 12 (retroactive to April 10) with a strained right hamstring. He suffered the injury on April 9 at Detroit after leading off the third inning with a single. Pollock is 4-7 (.571) with a double, RBI and run scored in two games this season.

Foster, 27, is 0-0 with a 1.42 ERA (1 ER/6.1 IP) and five strikeouts in five relief appearances this season.
