CHICAGO – Prior to tonight's game vs. the Yankees, the Chicago White Sox reinstated right-handed pitcher Gregory Santos from the Bereavement List and optioned right-hander Edgar Navarro to Class AAA Charlotte.
Santos, 23, was placed on the Bereavement List on Saturday. He has gone 2-0 with a 2.75 ERA (16 ER/52.1 IP), two saves and 52 strikeouts over a team-high 47 games this season.
Navarro, 25, made two relief appearances with the Sox after his contract was selected from Charlotte on July 29.
