CHICAGO – Prior to tonight’s series opener vs. the Angels, the Chicago White Sox optioned right-handed pitcher Kyle Crick to Class AAA Charlotte and returned right-hander Ryan Burr from his injury rehabilitation assignment at Charlotte and reinstated him from the 10-day injured list.

Burr, 27, was placed on the injured list on April 7 (retroactive to April 4) with a strained right shoulder. He made two appearances with the Knights on his rehab assignment, throwing 1.2 scoreless IP.

Burr went 2-1 with a 2.45 ERA (10 ER/36.2 IP), three holds, 33 strikeouts and a .224 (28-125) opponents average over 34 appearances with the White Sox in 2021.

Crick, 29, has gone 1-0 with a 6.00 ERA (4 ER/6.0 IP) in seven appearances with the Sox this season.
