In 110.0 professional innings, Lacy has averaged just 2.3 walks per 9 innings and 0.5 home runs per 9 innings.
He opened the season in the bullpen at South Bend, but shifted to the rotation on May 6 and went 4-1 with a 2.05 ERA (12 ER/52.2 IP) over 10 starts. Lacy held opposing batters to .219/.290/.294/.583 slash line as a starter at South Bend. He was promoted to Myrtle Beach on July 11 and has made 2starts for the Pelicans. The right-hander is in his second professional season after he was chosen by the Cubs in 11th round of the 2017 June Draft out of Creighton University. The Minnesota native was a three-time All-Big East First Team selection at Creighton.
Hamels is 5-9 with a 4.72 ERA in 20 starts with the Rangers in 2018. Acquired from Philadelphia on July 31, 2015, the left-hander is 38-21 with a 3.90 ERA in 88 starts with Texas. His .644 winning percentage is the second highest in club history (50 or more decisions). He went 7-1 in 12 starts in 2015 and defeated the Los Angeles Angels on the final day of the regular season to win the A.L. West Division title. Hamels went 15-5 in 2016 to earn the club's Pitcher of the Year Award and was 11-6 a year ago when he made only 24 starts due to injury.
Hamels as a career Major League record of 152-111 with a 3.34 ERA and 2341 strikeouts in 383 games/382 starts with the Phillies (2006-15) and Rangers.
