Rangers to host Yankees & Royals for 7-game homestand, May 21-27

The Rangers return to Texas on Monday, May 21, when they open a seven game homestand against the New York Yankees and Kansas City Royals at Globe Life Park in Arlington.

The Rangers return to Texas on Monday, May 21, when they open a seven game homestand against the New York Yankees and Kansas City Royals at Globe Life Park in Arlington.
The Yankees are in town first for games Monday, May 21 at 7:05 p.m.; Tuesday, May 22 at 7:05 p.m.; and Wednesday, May 23 at 6:05 p.m.
On Monday, the Rangers will kick off the 2018 slate of Military Appreciation Nights by honoring the brave men and women of the US Marine Corps.
SSgt Omar Milan, Explosive Ordnance Disposal Specialist, 2nd Battalion, 6th Marines, U.S. Marine Corps, will throw out an honorary first pitch as part of the pre-game ceremonies for Marine Corps Appreciation Night. During his third tour of duty in Afghanistan, SSgt Omar Milan was injured by an improvised explosive device (IED).
The Texas Rangers will also honor the Army on June 15, Special Operations Forces on June 27, the Navy on July 3, the Air Force on July 4, and the Coast Guard on August 16. On each of those dates, a Rangers cap themed to honor that branch of the military, will be available with the Theme Night ticket. Theme Night tickets must be purchased by visiting texasrangers.com/themenights, and a limited number of caps are available.
Texas Rangers FOX Sports Southwest University Days return on Tuesday, with Texas Tech University being featured. Fans can purchase tickets for Texas Tech UDays at texasrangers.com/udays and arrive early to receive a special edition, Rangers cap themed in Tech colors. The hats are distributed on a first come, first served basis. 
Wednesday brings another installment of Texas Chili Company Dollar Hot Dog Night.
The Royals arrive on Thursday, May 24 for a 7:05 p.m. game. The series continues Friday, May 25 with a 7:05 p.m. matchup, followed by a 3:05 p.m. game on Saturday, May 26 and a 2:05 p.m. contest on Sunday, May 27.
As a prequel to Star Wars Weekend, 6'10" Finnish actor, Joonas Suotamo, best known for his role as Chewbacca in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," "Star Wars: The Last Jedi," and the upcoming "Solo: A Star Wars Story," will assist in smuggling the game ball to the mound as a part of the Game Ball Delivery on Thursday.
A strong presence in the Force will then take over Globe Life Park for Star Wars Weekend, kicking off Friday with T-Mobile Friday Fireworks featuring music from the Star Wars franchise. Friday and Saturday will also feature Star Wars characters from a galaxy far, far away appearing on the concourse throughout both games.
On Saturday, the first 15,000 fans will receive a Medical City Healthcare Star Wars Han Gallo Bobblehead.
Saturday and Sunday, both the Rangers and Royals will participate in Major League Baseball's annual league wide Memorial Day Weekend observance to honor those who lost their lives while serving their country.
Over the weekend, players will don a camouflage-inspired cap created by New Era for the holiday, as well as a matching jersey. Five stars to represent the five branches of the U.S. military will be featured on the right side of the cap, stitched on the right sleeve of the jersey, and sewn across the socks. 
The homestand concludes Sunday, when pre-game ceremonies will include a flyover by a C-7 Caribou, two T-6 Texans, and a T-34 Mentor from the Cavanaugh Flight Museum following the National Anthem.
The first 15,000 fans Sunday can take home a Carter BloodCare Rangers Cap. It's also another Blue Bell Ice Cream Sunday, with $1 ice cream for those 13 and younger.
