Red-Hot Astros Return to Minute Maid Park on Monday to Open Nine-Game Homestand

The red-hot Astros, coming off of consecutive sweeps of divisional opponents the Texas Rangers and Oakland A's, return home to Minute Maid Park on Monday to kick off a nine-game homestand against the Tampa Bay Rays (June 18-20), Kansas City Royals (June 22-24) and Toronto Blue Jays (June 25-27). Houston enters the weekend with a half-game lead on the Seattle Mariners for the AL West Division lead.

TICKET POLICY
As a reminder regarding tickets, all fans must either have their printed tickets in hand or utilize the MLB Ballpark App on their mobile devices to access Minute Maid Park and any Astros Street Fests. PDFs, screenshots or any photos of tickets on a mobile device will NOT be accepted, and the Astros will not be able to print tickets on-site. As part of the Astros' ongoing commitment to the safety of all fans, there is no re-entry into the ballpark once fans are scanned in, a policy consistent with the Astros postseason game day protocol as well as with other sports and entertainment venues around the country.
Monday, June 18 vs. Tampa Bay Rays - 7:10 p.m.
Starting Monday, HomeAid Houston's Project Playhouse will be on display at Minute Maid Park at the top of section 150 through Wednesday, June 27. The "School House of Inspiration," built by Ashton Woods, features air conditioning, flat screen TV, DVD player, swing set and more. Raffle tickets for a chance to win the playhouse will be on sale at the same location. This is the 12th season that the Houston Astros and HomeAid Houston have partnered for Project Playhouse, and money raised from the project furthers HomeAid's mission to build new lives for homeless families and individuals through construction and community outreach.
Prior to Monday's game, fans that purchased the 111 Limited-Edition World Champions Fan Rings will receive their rings in a special pregame reception in the Union Station Depot from 5:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. Astros Owner and Chairman Jim Crane, General Manager Jeff Luhnow and President of Business Operations Reid Ryan are all scheduled to be on-hand at the reception, which will include a toast from Jim Crane himself.
Tuesday, June 19 vs. Tampa Bay Rays - 7:10 p.m.
Every Tuesday night home game is $1 Hot Dog Night presented by Nolan Ryan Beef! Fans can purchase an unlimited number of Nolan Ryan Beef hot dogs at $1 each while supplies last (limit of four per person per concession visit).
Wednesday, June 20 vs. Tampa Bay Rays - 7:10 p.m.
Due to the overwhelming popularity of the Replica World Champions Rings presented by Coca-Cola in April, all ticketed Astros fans in attendance on Wednesday, June 20 will receive the popular giveaway at gates upon entry. Fans are encouraged to arrive at the ballpark early to receive the promotional giveaway. However, fans will not be allowed to line up for the Replica World Champions Ring giveaway prior to 8:00 a.m.
The 2018 national P.L.A.Y. (Promoting a Lifetime of Activity for Youth) campaign will stop at Minute Maid Park to promote the importance of children living a healthy and active lifestyle. Select Astros players will join members of the Astros training staff to educate children from Dickinson and Jacinto City Little Leagues about the dangers of steroid abuse as well as promote a healthy and active lifestyle. PLAY is a program of the Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society, the Taylor Hooton Foundation and Major League Baseball Charities.
Friday, June 22 vs. Kansas City Royals - 7:10 p.m.
This Friday, 10,000 fans will receive an Astros Fedora presented by Goya. As previously stated, fans are encouraged to arrive at the ballpark early to receive any promotional giveaways, as supplies are limited and not guaranteed. However, fans will not be allowed to line up for giveaways prior to 8:00 a.m. on any giveaway day this season.
Big and Bright Friday Nights return to Minute Maid Park this Friday with a special Pregame Happy Hour presented by Budweiser at the Budweiser Brew House, where fans can enjoy $6, 16oz Budweiser Signature Draft beer and food specials, a live DJ, corn hole, jenga, and more from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. before every Friday night home game.
Come get loud and rowdy every Friday night in the Astros dedicated fan-section, 'StroZone, presented by Texas Mahindra Dealers! To cap off Big and Bright Friday Night, fans are invited to stay after the game for Friday Night Fireworks, presented by Occidental Petroleum. This Friday's fireworks display will be set to a "super hero" musical theme. Upon conclusion of Friday's game and prior to the start of Friday Night Fireworks, fans will be asked to move from the following sections for their safety and enjoyment: Home Run Alley, Escalator Tower Stairs in Center Field, Budweiser Brew House Tiers, Budweiser Batter's Eye Bar, Torchy's Deck, Crawford Boxes and sections 100-109, 205-208, 305-309, and 405-409.

Saturday's evening contest will broadcast nationally on TV on FOX beginning at 6:15 p.m. CT and on the Astros flagship radio stations SportsTalk 790 KBME and La Ranchera 850 AM/101.7 FM.

Prior to Saturday's game, the Astros will honor the 25 recipients of the Minute Maid Grand Slam for Youth Baseball (MMGSFYB) Scholarships during an on-field pregame ceremony. The MMGSFYB Scholarship program, in partnership with the Astros Foundation, is in its 14th year in 2018, with this marking the second year MMGSFYB is awarding $5,000 scholarships. Since 2005, MMGSFYB has awarded 316 scholarships and grants totaling more than $900,000. Annually, hundreds of applications are received and reviewed from all over Texas.

Sunday, June 24 is Marvel Super Hero Day at Minute Maid Park! Fans are encouraged to dress up as their favorite super hero and will have the opportunity to get their faces painted and take pictures with the super heroes in attendance. Fans are encouraged to arrive early, as 10,000 fans will receive a Collector's Astros Marvel comic lithos poster. This year, fans have the option to purchase one of two special Super Hero™ Day ticket packages. The VIP ticket package includes a guaranteed lithos poster, the Marvel custom Orbit as Thor bobblehead and access to a special event in Union Station Lobby, featuring Houston's own local talent in the comic world. The Astros Foundation's sixth-annual Picnic In The Park fundraising event, presented by Pluckers, takes place on Sunday following the Astros vs. Royals afternoon matchup. This popular fundraiser, which gives fans the rare opportunity to spend an afternoon on the outfield grass at Minute Maid Park, will feature 2018 Astros players, alumni and members of the Astros front office. All proceeds from the charitable event will benefit the Astros Foundation. Prior to Monday's game, former Astros outfielder and current Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Teoscar Hernandez and Harris County Judge Ed Emmett will receive their World Championship Rings during an on-field pregame ceremony.
The Astros Foundation is teaming up with KHOU 11 for "Turn the Page," a community effort to help shed light on Houston's childhood literacy crisis and encourage summer reading throughout the Houston area. During the series vs. the Toronto Blue Jays, June 25-27, fans are encouraged to bring donations of new or like-new children's books to collection bins at any of the entrance gates at Minute Maid Park. Donations benefit the Houston-based non-profit "Books Between Kids," an organization that serves at-risk children in Houston by providing them with books to build their own home libraries. Prior to Tuesday's evening contest, the Astros Foundation and Gardner Denver will welcome Houston Fire Department Station 50, located at 4220 Bingle Road, into the Adopt-A-Fire Station program, which seeks to support local first responders and the work they do in the Houston community. The program connects Houston fire stations and Astros players by their corresponding jersey numbers. On Tuesday at 11:00 a.m., Astros pitcher Charlie Morton, who wears jersey #50, will present a framed jersey and visit with Houston Fire Department Station 50 first responders. Fans are invited to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the iconic baseball movie The Sandlot at Movie Day presented by Securian Financial! Movie Day's screening of The Sandlot on Minute Maid Park's jumbotron, El Grande, will begin approximately 30 minutes following Wednesday's afternoon game vs. the Toronto Blue Jays. Fans who attend the game on the 17th are encouraged to stay and move to the third base side of the main concourse, where seats will become general admission following the game. COMMISSIONER'S TROPHY ON DISPLAY
Astros fans can view and take photos with the Commissioner's Trophy when the Astros play at home at Minute Maid Park, Monday through Thursday, beginning when gates open until 30 minutes prior to first pitch. Please note that the Trophy will not be available in the Atrium for photos on Monday, June 18 due to a prior commitment. A limited number of vouchers for the photo opportunity will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. The Commissioner's Trophy will be available in the Atrium, just outside Union Station Lobby on the main concourse. During Astros home games Friday through Sunday, the Trophy will be on display in the Union Station Team Store from the time gates upon through the end of the game.
