BOSTON, MA— The Boston Red Sox today signed catcher Connor Wong to a one-year contract for the 2026 season.
Wong, played in 63 games during 2025, making 52 starts as the catcher. The right-handed hitter batted .190 (32-for-168) with eight doubles. Acquired by the Red Sox from the Los Angeles Dodgers on February 10, 2020, the Texas native has hit .245 (257-for-1,047) with 61 doubles, 23 home runs, 136 runs scored, and 103 RBI in 348 career Major League games, all with Boston. He was originally selected by the Dodgers in the third round of the 2017 First-Year Player Draft.
