Royals and Oklahoma City Thunder partner again for special event on Aug. 26

The Kansas City Royals have partnered with the NBA's Oklahoma City Thunder to host the third annual Thunder Day at The K on Sunday, August 26.

The Kansas City Royals have partnered with the NBA's Oklahoma City Thunder to host the third annual Thunder Day at The K on Sunday, August 26. The theme day will incorporate the Thunder experience into a day of big-league action, as the Royals host the Cleveland Indians at 1:15 p.m.
"The Royals are excited to again host the Oklahoma City Thunder at Kauffman Stadium," said Michael Bucek, Vice President of Marketing and Promotions. "Royals fans enjoy the entertainment elements the Thunder provide, and we enjoy and welcome fans from Oklahoma City."
Thunder entertainers including Rumble the Bison and others will also take part in the day, connecting with fans throughout the ballpark. The OG&E ThunderBolt, the team's traveling interactive experience, will be set up to allow fans to engage with the Thunder through measure-ups, a photo booth, trivia and more.

"This is a great opportunity for us to engage with the Kansas City community and recognize our regional fans who are so passionate and excited about Thunder Basketball."
Fans can purchase Theme Tickets for Thunder Night at www.royals.com/thunder. Fans who purchase the Oklahoma City Thunder Theme Ticket and bring it to Gate A will receive an exclusive Royals baseball cap that includes the Thunder logo and colors. Gates open at 11:30 a.m. with first pitch scheduled for 1:15 p.m.
