Homestand highlights: March 28-April 3

KANSAS CITY, MO (March 26, 2019) – The Kansas City Royals will start the 2019 season with the Chicago White Sox (March 28-31) and Minnesota Twins (April 2-3). Tickets for Opening Day are available and can be purchased online at royals.com, on the Ballpark App, by calling 1-800-6ROYALS, at area Price Chopper stores or at the Kauffman Stadium Box Office. Please note, there will be three day games during the homestand, including the game on Wednesday, April 3 which has a scheduled 12:15 p.m. first pitch. See below for more details.

Thursday, March 28 – OPENING DAY, Chicago White Sox vs. Royals, 3:15 p.m.

Greater Kansas City Day – The 32nd annual event brings together more than 1,200 volunteers who sell special editions of the Kansas City Star and Royals flags on metro area street corners and at local Price Chopper locations from 7 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Royals alumni and members of the K-Crew will be on board the Royals-themed KC Streetcar throughout the morning. The special Royals flags will be available at the 51 local Price Chopper locations all week, while supplies last. Royals Hall of Famer Mike Sweeney and Price Chopper’s Casie Broker serve as Greater Kansas City Day honorary co-chairs to benefit Royals Charities, Rotary Youth Camp and other local children’s charities. For more information, or to order a flag, visit royals.com/gkcday.

Magnetic Schedule – The first 40,000 fans will receive a 2019 Magnetic Schedule, courtesy of Sprint. Royals fans can enjoy live music inside the stadium at the Outfield Experience Stage before first pitch by a local Kansas City band. The Outfield Experience will also feature free face painting and a roaming baseball player stilt walker! Additionally, a couple of local high school drum lines will perform in the parking lots before the game to enhance the festive tailgating atmosphere.

50/50 Raffle presented by Edelman & Thompson – Proceeds from the Opening Day Royals Charities 50/50 Raffle will benefit the American Red Cross for Midwest Flood Relief. New for 2019, Missouri residents can play the 50/50 online prior to and during each game. For more information, visit royals.com/5050

Friday, March 29 – Off Day

Saturday, March 30 – Chicago White Sox vs. Royals, 1:15 p.m.

Sunday, March 31 – Chicago White Sox vs. Royals, 1:15 p.m.

Family FunDay Sunday – Sunday home games feature free pregame entertainment for kids, including face painters and crazy hair artists in the Outfield Experience. All Day Play passes for unlimited activities in the Outfield Experience can be purchased for $10. Fans also can get pregame autographs from select players by the Royals dugout from 11:45 a.m. To 12:05 p.m. Starting at 12:15 p.m., fans can also get autographs from Royals alumni in the Royals Hall of Fame. Following the game, kids 14 and under run the bases for free. For more information, visit www.royals.com/sunday.

Monday, April 1 – Off Day

Miller Lite Happy Hour – On Tuesday nights and other select games, fans can get $3 Miller Lites from the time gates open until first pitch at the Miller Lite Fountain Bar and Rivals.

Wednesday, April 3 – Minnesota Twins vs. Royals, 12:15 p.m.

Boulevard Happy Hour – On Wednesdays, select Boulevard beers are just $4 at Craft & Draft and the Boulevard Radler Station in the Outfield Experience from the time gates open until first pitch.

Student Night presented by INK – Students can purchase View Reserved or Outfield Plaza (sections 250-252) tickets for just $8 on Wednesday home games! The $8 tickets are also available for purchase at the Kauffman Stadium Box Office with a valid high school or college ID or youth 14 years of age and under with an adult. Students can also enjoy food and beverage specials before and during the game: half-priced appetizers at Craft & Draft and Rivals Sports Bar and select $4 Boulevard beers at the Radler Stand and Craft & Draft before the game and $4 hot dogs and $4 sodas at select concession stands during the game.
