KANSAS CITY -- Following the completion of Saturday's game, the Kansas City Royals will screen the movie, The Sandlot. The movie will begin approximately a half hour after the last out.
Fans who purchased tickets for the game and would like to stay will be ushered to Sections 109-115. Select concession stands will remain open near these sections. Those with seats in Crown Club will be moved to the Konica Minolta Diamond Club for better viewing opportunities. Food and beverage will be available for purchase inside.
VIP Theme Ticket holders will watch the movie from Craft & Draft where they will have a meet and greet opportunity with Sandlot actor Brandon "Kenny DeNunez" Adams and Sandlot director/narrator David Mickey Evans. Free popcorn will be offered, as well as special menu items and alcohol available for purchase. VIP Theme Ticket holders must show a wristband to get into Craft & Draft that they will receive when they pick-up their t-shirt.
Fans who purchased either of the two Theme Tickets were able to pick up their shirts at the Gate B spiral ramp before the game. VIP Theme Ticket holders will also be able to pick up their shirts in Craft & Draft if they did not before the game. A portion of the proceeds of both Theme Ticket packages benefit the Greater Kansas City Boys and Girls Clubs.
In March, Major League Baseball announced a partnership with Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of The Sandlot. All season long, various festivities, events and screenings will be held at MLB ballparks.
