After the release of their 2020 60-game schedule on Monday, the San Diego Padres released their schedule for the 2021 regular season today featuring Interleague visits to San Diego by the Seattle Mariners, Oakland Athletics, Houston Astros and Los Angeles Angels. The team will open the season at home with a four-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks beginning on Opening Day, Thursday, April 1. The opening homestand will conclude with a three-game series against the San Francisco Giants from April 5-7.

Interleague play in 2021 will once again bring American League West opponents to San Diego, as the Mariners (May 21-23), Athletics (July 27-28), Astros (September 3-5) and Angels (September 7-8) will all make the trip to America's Finest City. This will mark the third appearance at Petco Park for the Astros since joining the American League, the fourth visit to Petco Park for the Angels and the fifth for the Athletics. For Interleague road contests, the Padres will visit Texas (April 9-11), Houston (May 28-30), Oakland (August 3-4) and Los Angeles (August 27-28).

Home weekends for the Padres in 2021 are highlighted by series against National League West opponents, including three weekend series against the Diamondbacks and two against the Colorado Rockies, as well as one weekend series against the Los Angeles Dodgers and Giants. The St. Louis Cardinals, Mariners, New York Mets, Cincinnati Reds, Philadelphia Phillies, Astros and Atlanta Braves also pay weekend visits to Petco Park. The Padres will host the Diamondbacks at Petco Park on Easter (April 4) and the Reds on Father's Day (June 20).

The club concludes their home schedule with a six-game homestand against San Francisco (September 21-23) and Atlanta (September 24-26) before wrapping up their 2021 regular season schedule with a six-game road trip against the Dodgers (September 28-30) and Giants (October 1-3).
