The Reds Hall of Fame & Museum presented by Dinsmore wraps up its 2019 bobblehead program in September, celebrating first baseman Ted Kluszewski. 

One of the most popular players in Reds history, “Big Klu” remains the most enduring symbol of Reds baseball in the 1950s. Known for his bulging biceps and physical characteristics that forced him to cut the sleeves off his jersey to allow him to swing his bat freely, Kluszewski was one of the great sluggers and most gifted fielders of his era. A Red from 1947 to 1957, he was a four-time All-Star and led NL first basemen in fielding percentage each season from 1951 to 1955. 

Kluszewski was inducted into the Reds Hall of Fame in 1962 and his #18 uniform was retired by the Reds in 1998. On Opening Day 2003, his statue was the first to be installed at the Crosley Terrace entrance to Great American Ball Park. 

The bobbleheads are free with regular-price admission to the Reds Hall of Fame & Museum (or a Great American Ball Park tour) and will be available Saturdays and Sundays throughout September, while supplies last. 

The bobblehead series continues through September with a different Reds legend available each month:

• May: Pat Moran (available only with museum membership)

• June: Joe Nuxhall (available only with museum membership)

• July: Gus Bell (available only with museum membership)

• August: Vada Pinson (available only with museum membership)

• September: Ted Kluszewski
