The Texas Rangers this morning announced the following 14 transactions for the spring training roster:
 
· OF Willie Calhoun, INF Ronald Guzman, C/INF Isiah Kiner-Falefa, and RHP Connor Sadzeck optioned to Triple-A Round Rock.
· C Jose Trevino optioned to Double-A Frisco.
· INF Hanser Alberto, RHP Austin Bibens-Dirkx, RHP Paolo Espino, RHP Reed Garrett, OF Scott Heineman, LHP David Hurlbut, INF Christian Lopes, RHP Adrian Sampson, and RHP Tayler Scott assigned to minor league camp.
 
With today's moves, the Rangers will have 48 players on the club's spring training roster, including 15 non-roster invitees, and one player (Palumbo) on the 60-day disabled list. Three pitchers on the list of non-roster invitees are rehabbing from 2017 Tommy John surgery: Chi Chi Gonzalez, Shawn Tolleson, and Edinson Volquez.
