The Texas Rangers Youth Academy is again partnering with the nonprofit organization Education is Freedom to offer a free college advisory program designed to guide high school students through each step of the college preparation process.
Beginning on Oct. 5, registered Academy athletes will participate in a three-course series of interactive workshops focused on helping them identify the right college fit and navigate the application process with confidence. These athletes will also learn strategies for managing college costs, developing healthy financial habits and preparing for the realities of campus life.
Fall college advising workshops are set for Oct. 5 (College Fit & Match), Oct. 19 (Financial Aid & Scholarships) and Oct. 26 (NCAA Eligibility Center & Student-Athlete Prep Talk).
The Youth Academy will also host an ACT College & Career Prep Workshop on Oct. 12 as part of the 2026 Kumar Family Success Series. This workshop will introduce the ACT test to attendees, provide test and goal setting resources and have a parent and family corner dedicated to answering parent questions.
