Three Minor League players suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that the following three Minor League players have each received a 25-game suspension without pay following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program:

  • Free agent Minor League pitcher Jorge Baez
  • Detroit Tigers Minor League catcher Moises Nunez, who is currently on the roster on Single-A Connecticut of the New York-Penn League
  • Detroit Tigers Minor League pitcher Richard Terrero, who is currently on the roster of the organization’s Gulf Coast League team

The suspension of Baez will be effective immediately upon signing with another Major League organization. The suspensions of Nunez and Terrero will be effective at the beginning of each league’s respective season.
