CHICAGO -- Following Sunday's series finale vs. the Yankees, the White Sox optioned right-handed pitcher Thyago Vieira to Class AAA Charlotte.

Vieira, 26, appeared in three games after being recalled from Charlotte on June 9. He is 1-0 with a 9.00 ERA (7 ER/7.0 IP) and eight strikeouts in six relief appearances over four stints with the White Sox this season.

Chicago will make a corresponding roster move prior to Tuesday night’s game vs. the Cubs at Wrigley Field.
