The Minnesota Twins announced Friday that they have designated right-handed pitcher David Hale for release or assignment. The Twins will make a corresponding roster move prior to Saturday's game against the Reds.
Hale, who was claimed by the Twins off waivers from the Yankees on Thursday, made one appearance Friday for the Twins, allowing four runs in 3.0 innings.
