Umpires for 2017 Wild Card Games and Division Series Announced

Major League Baseball today announced the umpires who have been assigned to 2017 Postseason games through the Division Series. The Wild Card Game crew chiefs will be Mike Winters and Gary Cederstrom, while the Division Series crew chiefs will be Ted Barrett, Gerry Davis, Dana DeMuth and Jerry Layne.

Major League Baseball today announced the umpires who have been assigned to 2017 Postseason games through the Division Series. The Wild Card Game crew chiefs will be Mike Winters and Gary Cederstrom, while the Division Series crew chiefs will be Ted Barrett, Gerry Davis, Dana DeMuth and Jerry Layne.
Winters will be the crew chief and first base umpire for Tuesday's American League Wild Card Game on ESPN, with veteran umpire Alfonso Marquez behind home plate. They will be joined by Lance Barksdale, Eric Cooper, Tripp Gibson and John Tumpane. In Wednesday's National League Wild Card Game on TBS, Cederstrom will be the crew chief and first base umpire, with Jim Reynolds calling balls and strikes. Jordan Baker, Mark Carlson, Chris Guccione and David Rackley round out the crew. The Replay Officials for the Wild Card Games will be Umpires Mike Muchlinski and Bill Welke.
The AL Division Series presented by Doosan are scheduled to begin on Thursday, October 5th. The crew chiefs on the AL side will be Ted Barrett (BOS-HOU) and Dana DeMuth (AL Wild Card Game winner @ CLE). Barrett's crew has Dan Bellino, regular season crew chief Mike Everitt, Marty Foster, Angel Hernandez and Mark Wegner. The crew led by DeMuth includes Vic Carapazza, Dan Iassogna, Adrian Johnson, regular season crew chief Jeff Nelson and Brian O'Nora. All ALDS games will be telecast exclusively by FS1 or MLB Network.
The NL Division Series presented by T-Mobile are set to start on Friday, October 6th. The NLDS crew chiefs will be Gerry Davis (NL Wild Card Game winner @ LAD) and Jerry Layne (CHI-WSH). The crew guided by Davis includes Phil Cuzzi, regular season crew chief Bill Miller, Paul Nauert, Alan Porter and Quinn Wolcott. This marks the 14th Division Series for Davis, who has worked the most Postseason games (133) in history. Layne's crew has Cory Blaser, regular season crew chief Fieldin Culbreth, Laz Diaz, Ron Kulpa and Will Little. TBS will exclusively telecast all NLDS games.
The Replay Officials during the Division Series will be Umpires Greg Gibson, regular season crew chief Tom Hallion, James Hoye and Tim Timmons.
All games telecast on MLB Network, TBS, FS1 and FOX will be available to MLB.TV subscribers who are authenticated subscribers to the applicable network through a participating pay TV provider. The AL Wild Card Game, as well as any necessary tiebreakers, will also be available via the ESPN App. ESPN Radio will provide live national coverage of all 2017 MLB Postseason games, including the Wild Card Games and any necessary Tiebreakers.
