CHICAGO – The Chicago White Sox have completed the second day (rounds 3-10) of the 2019 First-Year Player Draft, selecting six pitchers (two left-handers and four righties), one outfielder and one catcher.
The White Sox last night selected first baseman Andrew Vaughn from the University of California in the first round (third overall) and right-handed pitcher Matthew Thompson from Cypress Ranch (Texas) High School with their second pick (45th overall).
The Sox will conclude the 2019 draft tomorrow (rounds 11-40), beginning at 11:00 a.m. CT.
