White Sox acquire pitcher Ryan Burr from Arizona

Burr was selected by Arizona in the fifth round of the 2015 First-Year Player Draft out of Arizona State University.

The Chicago White Sox have acquired minor-league pitcher Ryan Burr from the Arizona Diamondbacks in exchange for international signing bonus pool money.
Burr, a 23-year-old right-hander, has gone 2-2 with a 1.89 ERA (12 ER/57.0 IP), 75 strikeouts, five saves and a .210 (42-200) opponents average over a combined 39 appearances this season between Class A Kane County and Class A Visalia in the Diamondbacks organization. The 6-foot-4, 230-pound Burr has averaged 11.8 strikeouts per 9.0 IP.
Burr, a native of Highlands Ranch, Colo., is 7-4 with a 1.97 ERA (25 ER/114.0 IP) and 144 strikeouts in 81 relief appearances over three minor-league seasons. He entered the 2016 season ranked by MLB.com as the No. 22 prospect in the Arizona organization.
