Yrizarri, 20, is batting .258 (77-298) with 19 doubles, one triple, seven home runs, 37 RBI, 27 runs scored and five stolen bases over 82 games between Class A Down East and Class A Hickory this season. The Puerto de Ordaz, Venezuela native is currently ranked by MLB.com as the No. 17 Prospect in the Texas organization.
The 6-foot, 195-pound Yrizarri, who bats and throws right-handed, has appeared in 331 career games over four minor-league seasons in the Rangers system, hitting .262 (330-1,259) with 73 doubles, eight triples, 17 home runs, 148 RBI, 139 runs scored and 39 steals.
Yrizarri was signed by Texas as an international free agent on July 2, 2013.
