CHICAGO – Major League Baseball and the Chicago White Sox today announced their 2022 regular-season schedule, with Opening Day for the White Sox on Thursday, March 31 against the Minnesota Twins at Guaranteed Rate Field.

Opening Day is part of a three-game, weekend series against the division-rival Twins (off day on April 1). The Sox open the season against Minnesota for the fifth time in franchise history, an American League Central opponent for the 18th time since 2001 and at home for the seventh time since 2009 (first since 2020).

Following the opening series, the White Sox embark on a six-game, seven-day trip to Kansas City (April 4-7; off day on April 5) and Detroit (April 8-10) to open the road portion of the season.

The White Sox play at home on Independence Day for the first time since 2019 when they face Minnesota on Monday, July 4.

The Sox welcome the 10 non-divisional American League teams to Guaranteed Rate Field on the following dates: Seattle (April 12-14), Tampa Bay (weekend of April 15-17), the Angels (April 29-May 2; Friday-Monday wraparound), the Yankees (weekend of May 12-15), Boston (May 24-26), Texas (weekend of June 10-12), Toronto (June 20-22), Baltimore (weekend of June 23-26), Oakland (weekend of July 29-31) and Houston (August 15-18).

The annual Wintrust Crosstown Series vs. the Cubs includes a pair of two-game matchups: May 3-4 at Wrigley Field (Tuesday/Wednesday) and the weekend of May 28-29 at Guaranteed Rate Field (Saturday/Sunday).

In addition to their crosstown rival, the White Sox play the National League West during interleague competition. The schedule includes the Dodgers (June 7-9 at Guaranteed Rate Field), San Francisco (July 1-3 at Oracle Park), Colorado (July 26-27 at Coors Field; September 13-14 at Guaranteed Rate Field), Arizona (weekend of August 26-28 at Guaranteed Rate Field) and San Diego (September 30-October 2 at Petco Park).

The 2022 season marks the first time in history the White Sox will end the regular season in a NL ballpark.
