GLENDALE, Ariz. - The Chicago White Sox outrighted right-handed pitcher Dylan Covey to Class AAA Charlotte.
Covey, 26, went 0-7 with a 7.71 ERA (60 ER/70.0 IP) and 41 strikeouts over 18 games (12 starts) last season, his first with the White Sox. He was selected by Chicago from Oakland in the Rule 5 Draft on December 8, 2016.
Following the move, the Sox 40-man roster decreases to 39.
