The New York Yankees will open the home portion of their 2026 regular season schedule on Friday, April 3, at 1:35 p.m. against the Miami Marlins. All Yankee Stadium gates will open to guests with valid tickets beginning at 11:30 a.m.

Pregame ceremonies will begin at approximately 1:00 p.m. with the introduction of both teams on the baselines.

Guests are strongly encouraged to arrive as early as possible to avoid lines which will increase in length as game time approaches.

For the fifth consecutive home opener, a giant American flag will be unfurled by Yankees season-ticket holders prior to the national anthem, which will be sung by Tony Award winner Nikki M. James. The presentation of colors will be performed by the U.S. Army West Point Honor Guard.

Team USA Men’s Olympic hockey gold medal game overtime hero Jack Hughes and Team USA Women’s Olympic hockey gold medal-winning goalie Aerin Frankel will throw out the ceremonial first pitches. During the seventh-inning stretch, U.S. Army Sergeant Major Carla Loy Song will sing “God Bless America,” and the Yankees will honor U.S. Air Force Senior Master Sargeant Mayra Winnie as the “Veteran of the Game.” The Albany, N.Y., native has been in active duty since 2005, and served in Operation Deep Freeze, Operation Inherent Resolve, Operation Freedom Sentinel and Operation Spartan Shield.

The Yankees will face Miami in their home opener for the first time in franchise history. It marks the second straight season, and third time in franchise history, the Yankees will open the home portion of their schedule against a National League club (also 2025 vs. Milwaukee and 2023 vs. San Francisco). The Yankees own an 82-40-1 all-time record in home openers and have won seven of their last nine (since 2017).

To kick off the 2026 season, the New York Yankees Foundation’s 50/50 Raffle for the home opener will have a guaranteed minimum starting jackpot of $50,000. Fans can purchase raffle tickets online now at www.yankees.com/5050 through the end of Friday’s home opener. Raffle tickets can be purchased online anywhere in New York State, and in-person at the Stadium from roving sellers in blue vests or at 50/50 Raffle kiosks. The fan with the winning number will win half of the net proceeds, and the other half will benefit New York Yankees Foundation programs and other nonprofit organizations. Participants do not need to be present at Yankee Stadium to win.

The Yankees’ homestand continues on Saturday, April 4, at 7:05 p.m., and Sunday, April 5, at 1:35 p.m. with games against Miami, followed by a three-game series from Tuesday, April 7, through Thursday, April 9, against the Athletics. The games on April 7 and 8 will start at 7:05 p.m., and the April 9 game is scheduled to start at 1:35 p.m.

The first 40,000 Guests in attendance at Saturday’s game against Miami (April 4) will receive a 2026 Yankees Calendar presented by Mastercard.

Gates for the final five games of the homestand will open 90 minutes before the scheduled first pitch.
