The New York Yankees today announced that they have acquired international signing bonus pool money from the Chicago White Sox in exchange for LHP Caleb Frare.
Frare, 25, was 4-1 with a 0.81 ERA (44.2IP, 27H, 7R/4ER, 15BB, 58K, 1HR) in 32 combined games with Double-A Trenton (31G) and Triple-A Scranton/Wilke-Barre (1G) in 2018. Originally drafted by the Yankees in the 11th round of the 2012 First-Year Player Draft, the Miles City, Mont., native went 18-12 with a 2.37 ERA (235.0IP, 183H, 77R/62ER, 119BB, 269K, 9HR) in 150 games (2 starts) over five minor league seasons.
