When will I receive my itinerary package with my game tickets and my Special Guest credentials?
If you selected a hotel option directly through Red Sox Destinations, you will receive your game tickets and guest credentials inside your Red Sox Destinations gift bag upon arrival at your hotel. If you have selected the "no hotel" option or made your own hotel accommodations, your tickets and credentials will be mailed to you via FedEx and will arrive one (1) week prior to departure. Please note that we require a physical address be provided as FedEx cannot deliver to P.O. Boxes. If international, please contact us as we will hold your game tickets/credentials for hotel delivery.
Your travel documents and personal itinerary will arrive via email one (1) week prior to your trip departure. Included within your itinerary are all confirmation numbers, a schedule of events and other pertinent information for your Red Sox Destinations Spring Training trip.
Where will my seats be located at JetBlue Park?
Red Sox Destinations always aims to secure the best available group seat locations. All game tickets are located in the "Grandstand" sections, unless otherwise noted. In most cases your seats will be in the shade. There are some instances where significant demands force us to expand our ticket sections to fall in the sun, please let us know if this presents any issues and we will work with the Red Sox ticket office in an attempt to secure shaded seats.
What are the "SOX SAVER" packages?
The SOX SAVER trips are February 22nd-24th and March 8th-10th. The SOX SAVER trip includes two (2) nights of hotel accommodations, two (2) 24 hour periods with a National Car Rental® intermediate vehicle, and a ticket for each guest to the Red Sox Spring Training game provided in the package you select. SOX SAVER trips do not include the game-day BBQ and reception with Red Sox player appearances. As standard, the trip includes a VIP Tour of JetBlue Park. Guests who book this option will still enjoy premium Red Sox gift bags, and first class customer service while in Ft. Myers!
What is your cancellation policy?
Full payment is due upon reservation, 90% of your package price is refundable up until 60 days prior to your scheduled trip. Packages booked within 60 days of scheduled trip require full payment upon reservation and are non-refundable. All payments are final and non-refundable within 60 days of a scheduled trip. Please purchase travel insurance to protect your purchase within 60 days of the trip.
Do you offer Travel Insurance?
Yes! We now offer travel insurance via AAA Travel. A booking link is available on the confirmation page and via email confirmations. Please get a free quote to protect your package within 60 days of the trip. No refunds will be offered within 60 days of the trip date because of this travel insurance offering.
What is in my gift bag? When can I expect to receive it?
Your gift bag will include a Red Sox Spring Training baseball cap, Official Red Sox Spring Training program, MLB game ball, and other items. Your gift bag can be picked-up upon check-in at your selected hotel. If you select our "no hotel" option or make your own hotel accommodations, gift bags can either be picked up at the VIP Tour (Sox Saver Packages) or the BBQ (Classic Packages).
What airport should I fly into?
The closest airport is located in Ft. Myers, and that is Southwest Florida International Airport. For the purpose of booking flights, the three letter airport code is RSW. If you choose to fly into a different Florida airport, your National Car Rental reservation pick-up and drop-off can be adjusted accordingly with a small per day concession fee. Additional rental car charges may apply if picking up at other airports.
If I would like to extend my stay, should I do so through Red Sox Destinations or should I call the hotel and National Car Rental® directly?
All hotel and rental car extensions should be made with Red Sox Destinations via telephone at (617)-226-6400 or email at firstname.lastname@example.org to ensure that you receive our special discounted rates. We will not only extend your hotel stay, but will also extend your National Car Rental reservation and can obtain tickets to additional games at JetBlue Park. Please book all extensions to your stay no later than 3 weeks prior to your check-in date in order to ensure availability otherwise we cannot guarantee availability. Hotel and Rental Car extensions are subject to availability.
Car Rentals are based on 24 hour periods. Each 24 hour period begins at the time of pick up at the airport. Cars returned between 1-3 hours past final 24 hour period will be charged an additional $17 per hour. Cars returned 3 hours or more beyond final 24 hour period will be charged an additional day of rental. These charges will appear on your credit card (if applicable) on file after your car is returned via Red Sox Destinations.
Rental car insurance, add-ons, refuel charges etc. are not covered by your Red Sox Destinations package and will be charged to your card on file directly through National Car Rental.
How do I go about securing tickets to Red Sox Spring Training games that are not included in my package?
Red Sox Destinations can secure tickets for additional games at both JetBlue Park and at other venues across the Grapefruit League. To add additional game tickets to games at JetBlue Park, feel free to do so through our online booking process under the "Optional Upgrades" tab. To add game tickets at another team's park, please call a Red Sox Destinations customer service representative at (617)-226-6400 or email email@example.com. Please note that additional game tickets are always subject to availability. Ticket pricing at other ballparks in the Grapefruit League varies and will be determined when the tickets have been confirmed. All additional ticket requests must be submitted no later than 45 days prior to each game's date.
What is your rainout policy?
While rainouts have historically not been common during previous Spring Training games, it is always a possibility. Unfortunately, we cannot issue refunds for the entire package price if a game is cancelled due to rain. Your game ticket will be valid for the rescheduled game and if you cannot attend, you may reuse your ticket as you wish. Refunds for game tickets will not be provided if the game is rained out. Which players and personnel will attend the VIP BBQ?
Each BBQ will include a chance to get autographs and participate in a Q&A with two (2) members of the coaching staff/Red Sox personnel, and two (2) current Red Sox players. Due to the busy schedules of our players, we are often not able to determine who the players will be until the week of the reception. As soon as we finalize who will be appearing at your VIP BBQ, we will send an email out to inform you.
