Hall of Fame Weekend

presented by Houston Methodist

Thank you for being part of Astros Hall of Fame Weekend and helping us celebrate the incredible players, moments, and traditions that have shaped our franchise. Throughout the weekend, fans came together to honor the legends who helped build a championship culture and create unforgettable memories for generations of Houston baseball fans, while also honoring the two newest additions to the Astros Hall of Fame in Phil Garner and Alan Ashby.

Garner, known as “Scrap Iron,” spent seven seasons (1981-1987) as an Astros infielder before returning as manager (2004-2007) and leading Houston to its first-ever World Series appearance in 2005, cementing his legacy as one of the franchise’s most influential figures. Garner, who passed away in April of 2026, was honored posthumously.

Ashby spent 11 seasons with the Houston Astros (1979-1989) and helped guide the club’s pitching staff as their everyday catcher while becoming one of the most respected players in franchise history. He also spent 4 years (2013-2016) as a broadcaster for Astros TV.
