He established himself as not only one of the top players in the Mountain West but also one of the top two-way talents in the country, and for that he is the winner of the 2022 John Olerud Two-Way Player of the Year Award.

Olerud, who was inducted into the National College Baseball Hall of Fame in 2007, was a standout pitcher and first baseman at Washington State University from 1987 through 1989.

Mike McGee, a junior from Port St. Lucie, Fla., turned in an outstanding season as both a Seminoles closer and outfielder. On the mound, McGee posted a 4-1 record with 13 saves and a 2.96 ERA. He also made 62 starts in left field, while hitting .328 with 17 home runs and 73 RBIs. Video »
