Juan Soto, Mets

Soto was removed from the Mets' April 3 game against the Giants after the top of the first inning with right calf tightness. He is scheduled to undergo an MRI on April 4.

Cade Horton and Seiya Suzuki, Cubs

Horton was pulled from his April 3 start in Cleveland after four batters and 17 pitches due to right forearm discomfort. Manager Craig Counsell said Horton will return to Chicago for imaging and will require a stint on the injured list.

Suzuki (minor PCL sprain in right knee) played five innings in right field and took three at-bats while beginning a Minor League rehab assignment with Double-A Knoxville on April 3. Manager Craig Counsell estimated that Suzuki could be in the Minors for three to seven days before potentially being activated.

Alejandro Kirk, Trey Yesavage, Cody Ponce, José Berríos and Shane Bieber, Blue Jays

Kirk left the Blue Jays' April 3 game after taking a foul tip off his left thumb in the 10th inning. He underwent X-rays, with the results yet unknown.

Yesavage (right shoulder impingement) pitched 2 2/3 innings for Single-A Dunedin in his first Minor League rehab appearance, allowing one hit and one run. He walked one and struck out three.

Ponce was carted off the field on March 30 after suffering a right knee injury while attempting to field a ground ball in his Blue Jays debut. On March 31, Ponce was diagnosed with a right ACL sprain. He continues to be evaluated by doctors and is expected to miss significant time.

Berríos (right elbow stress fracture) was scheduled to throw a bullpen on March 31 and is expected to throw a live batting practice session on April 4.

Bieber (right elbow inflammation) is scheduled to throw off a mound for the first time on April 4, which will begin his ramp-up process.

Carlos Rodón and Anthony Volpe, Yankees

Rodón (left elbow surgery) experienced right hamstring tightness March 31 while going through his workout program, but he is planning to throw off a mound at Yankee Stadium on April 4. If that goes well, he could be cleared to begin a Minor League rehab assignment shortly.

Volpe (left shoulder surgery recovery) could begin a Minor League rehab assignment in mid-April.

Johan Oviedo, Red Sox

Oviedo was placed on the 15-day injured list with a right elbow strain on April 3. There is enough concern that manager Alex Cora hinted the righty could fly to Dallas to have a consult with Dr. Keith Meister.

Spencer Strider and Sean Murphy, Braves

Strider (left oblique strain) completed a 20-pitch bullpen session on April 3 and felt good. It's unclear when he will go on a Minor League rehab assignment.

Murphy (right hip labral tear) caught three innings in a simulated game with High-A Rome on April 1. The Braves have not announced where and when he'll begin his rehab assignment.

Nick Lodolo, Reds

Lodolo left his first rehab start on April 2 with Single-A Daytona in the third inning due to a flareup of the blister on his left index finger. The short-term plan is for Lodolo to rest for a couple of days before he resumes playing catch.

Zach Eflin, Jackson Holliday and Andrew Kittredge, Orioles

Manager Craig Albernaz said on April 3 that Eflin is traveling to Dallas to get a second opinion on his injured right elbow from Dr. Keith Meister. Eflin, who exited his season debut with discomfort, underwent imaging in Baltimore on April 1 after getting placed on the 15-day injured list.

Holliday (right hamate surgery) played four rehab games for Triple-A Norfolk from March 27-April 1, going 4-for-13 with two doubles and an RBI.

Kittredge (right shoulder inflammation) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Norfolk on April 1, allowing one run in two-thirds of an inning.

Byron Buxton, Twins

Buxton left the Twins' April 3 game against the Rays for a pinch-runner after being hit on the right forearm by a pitch in the seventh inning. X-rays were negative, and Buxton was diagnosed with a contusion.

José Buttó, Giants

Buttó was scheduled to undergo a procedure April 3 to remove a blood clot in his right arm.

Zack Wheeler and Orion Kerkering, Phillies

Wheeler made his second rehab outing with Triple-A Lehigh Valley on April 3, allowing five runs off four hits and two walks while striking out only one over three innings.

Kerkering (right hamstring strain) made back-to-back appearances for Triple-A Lehigh Valley on March 31 and April 1. He will pitch again April 4.

Jordan Lawlar and Merrill Kelly, D-backs

Lawlar is expected to miss six to nine weeks with a broken right wrist, manager Torey Lovullo announced April 3. He was hit by a 94.3 mph sinker in the seventh inning April 2.

Kelly's back appears fully recovered, but he will need more time to build up before joining the rotation. He was scheduled to make a rehab start April 3 for Triple-A Reno.

Garrett Cleavinger and Gavin Lux, Rays

Cleavinger was placed on the 15-day IL on April 3, retroactive to March 31, with right calf tightness.

Lux (right shoulder impingement) began a rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham on April 2, playing nine innings.

Kyle Teel, White Sox

Teel (right hamstring strain) will begin hitting off a tee around April 7 or 8 and could begin a rehab assignment soon after.

Masyn Winn, Cardinals

Winn was removed for a pinch-hitter in the seventh inning April 3 for precautionary reasons due to hip tightness, two days after he was involved but not seriously injured in a car accident. He is not expected to miss time.

Cody Bradford, Rangers

Bradford (left UCL surgery) threw 27 pitches in his first rehab appearance with Triple-A Round Rock on April 3.

Jose Quintana, Rockies

Quintana was placed on the 15-day injured list April 2, retroactive to March 30, with a right hamstring strain. He's hopeful he'll be able to return without making a rehab start.

Griffin Canning, Padres

Canning (left Achilles tear) is scheduled to make a rehab start with Double-A San Antonio on April 4, his first game action since his 2025 season ended in June because of the injury. He could need a lengthy buildup progression.
