The following players have signed Minor League contracts with the Brewers that include invitations to Major League Spring Training camp, or have been invited to big-league camp from within the system:

Feb. 10: 1B Jon Singleton and C Jeferson Quero
It's been a rollercoaster ride of an offseason for Singleton, the veteran slugger who returned to affiliated baseball in 2022 and led the Brewers' Minor League system with 29 home runs. Initially a free agent, he signed a Minor League deal that included a camp invite on Oct. 31, then was added to Milwaukee's 40-man roster several weeks later to protect him from being poached by another club at the Rule 5 Draft. The 40-man eventually got tight, however, and the Brewers designated Singleton for assignment in January and ultimately released him. Now he's back again, on another Minor League deal with a chance to impress in big league camp and power his way into the first base picture. 

Quero, meanwhile, is a 20-year-old who ranks seventh on the current MLB Pipeline Brewers Top 30, with a chance to move up in the next update. He's long been regarded for his advanced handling of pitchers, and will get an opportunity to log time with the Major League staff. Quero delivered 34 extra-base hits in 95 Minor League games last season before playing in the prestigious Arizona Fall League.

Jan 30: OF Monte Harrison
Harrison, 27, is the former Brewers prospect who was among the players dealt to Miami in the Christian Yelich trade. He has appeared in 50 MLB games over the past three seasons between stints with the Marlins and Angels, hitting .176 with a .547 OPS. He can play all three outfield spots, but has the most experience in center.

Jan 27: OF Skye Bolt and RHP Colin Rea
Bolt, 29, will come to camp with the Brewers with parts of three seasons in the Majors on his résumé. In 2022, he hit .198 (.589 OPS) in 42 games for the A's and had a .326/.385/.526 slash line in 24 games with Triple-A Las Vegas. Rea, 32, pitched for the Fukuoka Softbank Hawks in Japan in ’22, turning in a 3.96 ERA with 80 strikeouts and 32 walks in 100 innings. He has a 4.90 ERA in four Major League seasons, including one appearance with the Brewers in ’21.

Jan. 26: OFs Sal Frelick and Joey Wiemer, C Brian Navarreto, LHP Robert Gasser and RHP Robert Stock
Stock, the former Padres, Red Sox, Cubs and Mets pitcher, is a newcomer to the Brewers organization after spending the 2022 season in South Korea, where he pitched as a starter and delivered a 3.60 ERA in 165 innings. The other four players are from within the Brewers' own Minor League system and will get their first taste of Milwaukee's big league camp, including top prospects Frelick (MLB Pipeline's Brewers No. 2), Wiemer (No. 3) and Gasser (No. 10). Of that trio, Frelick may have the clearest path to the Majors given Milwaukee's outfield needs, after the former first-round Draft pick delivered an .883 OPS in 2022 while advancing from High A Wisconsin to Double-A Biloxi to Triple-A Nashville.

Jan 12: RHP Thyago Vieira
The 29-year-old from Brazil was once a top prospect for the Mariners and White Sox thanks to a power fastball clocked as high as 104 mph, and he made it to the Majors each year from 2017-19 after making the All-Star Futures Game in '17. He pitched in Japan from 2020-22 and found success there, particularly in 2021 when he had a 2.93 ERA, 10.4 strikeouts per nine innings and 19 saves in 55 1/3 innings at Japan's top level.

Jan. 9: IF Josh VanMeter
The Indiana native has played all over the field for the Reds, D-backs and Pirates, mostly as a part-time player. He slashed .186/.266/.292 in 192 plate appearances for Pittsburgh in 2022. Most of his Major League starts have come at second base, but VanMeter also has logged significant time in left field and at the infield corners.

Jan. 3: LHP Alex Claudio
Claudio, a soft-tossing southpaw who turns 31 next month, pitched for the Brewers in 2019 and '20 before spending '21 with the Angels and '22 mostly at Triple-A for the Mets. At his best, he's a durable option against tough left-handed hitters, frustrating them with a funky delivery and release point. In his only full season with the Brewers in 2019, Claudio had a 4.06 ERA, limited lefties to a .680 OPS and led the Majors with 83 appearances, tying Ken Sanders' franchise record.

Dec. 16: LHP Thomas Pannone
He hasn’t pitched in the Majors since 2018 and ’19 with Toronto, and he has a 5.61 ERA over parts of four seasons at the Triple-A level, but Pannone found success last year after leaving the Red Sox’s top affiliate for South Korea. Pitching for the Kia Tigers, he had a 2.72 ERA in 82 2/3 innings in 14 starts.

Dec. 3: INF Eddy Alvarez
Alvarez plays all over the field and has had stints in the Majors with the Marlins and Dodgers in each of the past three seasons, but that’s just the start of his story. He’s one of only six athletes to medal at both the Summer and Winter Olympics, picking up a silver in speed skating in Sochi in 2004 as part of the United States’ 5,000-meter relay, then silver in baseball in Tokyo in 2021. He kept a diary of his Olympic experience for MLB.com that year.

Dec. 2: C Alex Jackson
The Brewers picked up Jackson from the Marlins on the eve of last season’s Opening Day, after catcher Pedro Severino was slapped with a PED suspension. Jackson appeared in five big league games throughout the year but was removed from the 40-man roster in early December.

Nov. 10: RHP Tobias Myers
Myers, 24, was in the prospect spotlight after being traded from the Orioles to the Rays for Tim Beckham in 2017, and was among MLB Pipeline’s Top 30 Rays prospects when he struck out 146 batters in 117 2/3 innings for Tampa Bay’s Double-A and Triple-A clubs in 2021. But he couldn’t replicate that success as multiple teams -- the Guardians, Giants and White Sox -- all took a shot on him during a well-traveled ’22 season. The Brewers are the latest club to see if they can push Myers to the Majors.

Oct. 28: INF Andruw Monasterio
The multi-positional infielder doesn’t turn 26 until the end of May but has already played eight pro seasons for four organizations, including a 2022 split between the Brewers’ Double-A and Triple-A clubs. He posted a solid .271/.364/.406 slash line in 110 games last season and picked up more at-bats in the Venezuelan Winter League. Monasterio has extensive experience at all four infield positions, primarily shortstop.

Oct. 27: RHP J.C. Mejía
Originally acquired in a trade with Cleveland after he pitched 17 times in the Majors including 11 starts in 2021, the 6-foot-5 righty made two big-league appearances for the Brewers in ’22 before he was suspended 80 games for a positive PED test. He returned to the mound with Triple-A Nashville in August and had a strong September, posting a 1.38 ERA with a .136 opponents’ average.

Oct. 25: RHP Lucas Erceg
Erceg is a former second-round Draft pick who was a top Brewers infield prospect, but is now in the throes of a second career as a relief pitcher after getting his off-the-field life back in order. The 2022 season was his first pitching full time, and Erceg delivered 69 strikeouts in 61 1/3 innings between the Double-A and Triple-A levels while showing some durability with 49 appearances.

Oct. 19: RHP Tyler Herb
Herb sprouted some roots in the Brewers system last season, going 10-8 with a 4.03 ERA in 27 games (20 starts) over 125 innings between the Double-A and Triple-A levels. It was his age-30 season, and part of a long pro career that has included stops in the Mariners, Giants and Orioles systems, including parts of four years at Triple-A.
