Canada vs. Cuba with all the World Baseball Classic marbles on the line. Cuba wins? It’s on to the quarterfinals in Houston as the second seed from Pool A. Canada wins? It advances to Houston as the one seed from Pool A. This is what the tournament is all about.

Netflix Japan will stream all tournament games in Japanese.

Team results: Canada is 2-1 after beating Colombia and Puerto Rico and losing to Panama. Cuba is 2-1 after beating Colombia and Panama and then losing to host Puerto Rico.

What’s at stake: If Canada wins, it will move to 3-1 and not only advance to the quarterfinals, but take the top seed in Pool A with Puerto Rico as the No. 2 seed. Cuba would go home. If Cuba wins, it moves to 3-1 and advances as Pool A’s No. 2 seed with Puerto Rico as the top seed. Canada would not advance in that situation.
Matchup history: These two teams have never faced each other in Classic play -- even though they’ve both participated in each of the past five WBCs. With everything on the line, this could be the beginning of a new rivalry. A Classic rivalry.
