SURPRISE, Ariz. -- Logan Forsythe, replacing injured third baseman Justin Turner, left Friday's 10-0 win over the Royals shortly after fouling a pitch off his left foot or leg, but he appears to have avoided injury.

Forsythe, who struggled in 2017 after he broke his right big toe, went down in pain after fouling the pitch. He spoke to the trainer, continued his at-bat to work a walk, then was replaced by pinch-runner Kyle Farmer, who remained in the game at third base.

Forsythe, the regular second baseman, moved over to third this week after Turner, the All-Star and No. 3-hitter, suffered a small non-displaced fracture of his left wrist when he was hit by a pitch Tuesday night.

Good timing
In the last three games, Yasiel Puig is 6-for-8 with two homers, two doubles and seven RBIs. Enrique Hernandez continued his impressive spring by going 3-for-4 with a triple and three RBIs on Friday.

Minor League reward
Manager Dave Roberts said Will SmithEdwin Rios, Gavin Lux, Errol Robinson and DJ Peters will be among the Minor Leaguers the club will take to Southern California for the exhibition Freeway Series against the Angels Sunday through Tuesday. All were impressive in Cactus League games. There will be more, Roberts said, but top pitching prospect Walker Buehler will not be one of them.

Peters came off the bench and had a big game on Friday. He doubled, was thrown out at third trying to advance on a ground ball, but atoned with a solo home run, his third in 21 at-bats.

Camp battle
Andrew Toles came off the bench and went 0-for-2; fellow outfielder Trayce Thompson came off the bench and went 0-for-3 with a strikeout; Farmer went 0-for-1, playing third base and catcher.

Up next
The Dodgers break camp after Saturday's game, which will be started by Alex Wood against White Sox lefty Hector Santiago at Camelback Ranch, where Chicago will be the home team. The 12:05 p.m. PT matchup can be seen live on MLB.TV.
